This Resolution states that the Register of Deeds will no longer accept any deed transferring real property for registration unless the Davidson County Tax Administrator’s Office has certified that there are no delinquent ad valorem taxes, or other taxes with which the Tax Administrator is charged with collecting, are a lien on the property described on the deed OR if a deed is submitted for registration under the supervision of a closing attorney and contains this statement on the deed: "This instrument prepared by: _, a licensed North Carolina attorney. Starting March 1, 2019, the Davidson County Tax Department will be implementing the Tax Certification requirements per North Carolina General Statute §161-31 and the resolution adopted by the Davidson County Board of Commissioners on August 14, 2018.
